About Us

Master Michael W. Phillips

Master Phillips has been practicing martial arts since 2000. He started with ATA Taekwondo in which he earned his 3rd degree black belt in 2008. He is a level 2 certified instructor in Taekwondo and has participated in numerous tournaments. He has been NJ State Champion in forms, weapons, and sparing on several occasions. In 2004, he won the ATA National Championship in weapons, competing in single ssang jeol bahng.

 

In 2003, Dr. Phillips started training in Haidong Gumdo.  He was awarded 1st Dan in Nov. 2005 and achieved 2nd Dan in March 2008. He was awarded 3rd Dan in November 2010.
 
He now concentrates on training in Haidong Gumdo. He teaches at the Princeton Haidong Gumdo Academy in the Princeton Martial Arts Center.

 

Master Robin Nicholls

 

Master Nicholls began her martial arts training in Taekwondo in 2000.  Competitive awards in include: NJ State Champion in weapons, 3rd place in sparring at the ATA Nationals Tournament, and ATA National Top Ten in weapons. 

 

Mrs. Nicholls began training in Haidong Gumdo in 2003 and was awarded 1st Dan in November 2005 and 2nd Dan in March 2008.  She was awarded 3st Dan in November 2010.
 
She currently teaches at the Princeton Haidong Gumdo Academy in the Princeton Martial Arts Center.
